250-gram Shu Pu-erh bricks made from spring material in 2017 by a local farmer from Yun De. Lao Chao Tou, or Old Tea Heads, are dense clumps of Shu Pu-erh made from leaves and buds that naturally stick together during the wet piling stage, known as Wo Dui.

Flavor profile: cherry, licorice, cinnamon, wood, dark chocolate, and nuts. The fermentation is clean, the taste as well, and it’s stored in a dry place — no basements or dampness. In the aftertaste, there’s a spicy sweetness. The tea is dense and oily. Brew 8−10 grams of tea heads per liter of boiling water, use a 150ml teapot/gaiwan — a recipe to unlock the full potential of this guy.

It gently lifts you up, warms your body, and fills you with energy for the whole day. No jitters or aggression, just a smooth and kind Cha Qi! Tea heads rule!
